A perfect day for a trail race, and one that I felt I ran particularly well. The final time was just a touch slower than last year, but this run was a smarter one for me, wherein a took the time to walk (very briefly) on certain uphill trails. I think it paid off with an adequate time and a better sense of what my body is capable of... even when my head wants begs me to quit after 4.5 miles.
