Weather Report: Thunderstorms, 79°F, 71% Humidity, Winds: WSW @ 16 mph; feels like 82°F.While my completely uneducated guess is that we will soon return to the extremely hot and humid temperatures experienced thus far this summer, I am happy to report that after two 90°F+ days, it is finally raining out. The lawns are in mid-August form and poor Gracie (pictured above) has been panting (despite a fairly pampered existence) like she's been in the Mohave Desert. As a rule, we don't water the lawn, saving the precious H2O for our gardens, so the weeds that pass as our lawn are very appreciative. Let's hope this becomes the drenching we so desperately need here in New York. (Apologies to those who have been receiving the exact opposite of late!)
