A Personal Truth Reinforced

Run: 2 miles in :25:00 min. @ 7:00 p.m.

Weather: Partly Sunny, 75°F, 45% Humidity, Winds: SW @ 5 mph; feels like 76°F.

Pace: 12:30 min./per mile avg.

Following yesterday's 13-miler, I had intended to take today as an off day, which in truth, based on how I felt this evening at the track was pretty much the case despite my being on the track, in my running clothes, with my shoes laced and my water bottle iced. Although Anne and I went to the track at Nazareth College this evening, mostly because I felt the surface might be better suited for my aching legs, unfortunately, my head was not in the game.

This evening, Anne learned a personal truth of mine which was only reinforced in our shared experience this evening... we both dislike the round-and-round-and-round-and-round running at the 400m track no matter how soft and sweet the surface is...

Tomorrow afternoon, my son Jack and I will be heading out of town for two days to go camping and visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame. I am planning on going for a short run tomorrow before leaving and leaving time in my schedule to hit the bricks upon our return Thursday. I have registered for 5k runs on both Friday night and Saturday morning.

I think the "break" will be good to re-energize both my and Anne's batteries... I am looking forward to putting forth two strong runs this weekend!

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
