"There is a muscular energy in sunlight corresponding to the spiritual energy of wind."~Annie Dillard
This morning's homemade 10k course took me out towards the suburbs which lie on the eastern border of our city, which worked out well as the sun rising as the course went West. Rather than having to squint into the sunrise, the morning sun was at my back warming me as I ran through another deliciously cool August morning.

Later this morning, Anne, Greg and I are setting out for a little camping trip during which time we will be visiting with some friends and family... a perfectly pleasant way to wind-down our summer activities. Although I will not be running during the next few days (I have schedule "recovery days" for both Sunday--by way of Friday--and Monday), but I will be bringing my old running shoes in hopes of taking a few trail walks, or at least around the campgrounds...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
