Run: 7.0 miles in :54:54 min. @ 7:00 p.m.

Pace: 7:51 min./per mile avg.
Weather: Clear, 37°F
Course:

It’s getting more and more challenging to find time to run. Not just “time,” as in an hour free, but a time that I feel like running that isn’t already set aside for something else—at some point it feels like everything is important.

Take today for instance, I was driving home with the thought of running—it was directly after school, before my wife and stepson come home, and I would have the evening to correct papers and watch television. After sitting down to have a snack, I began watching Reba (oddly, one of my favorite television shows), and begin to rethink even running at all today… tomorrow’s schedule was even worse with open house at school and my son’s cross-country meet. I had just about decided that I would forgo even a short run today until the second half hour episode of Reba started… and it was about running!

Reba and her ex-husband, Brock, had both signed up for a 5k and Reba (who apparently had been a runner at some point), began training in an effort to beat Brock... and so on... darn it if that show is not entertaining (and motivating)!

It just occurred to me that I might be a redneck...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!

i, too, get many good vibes from the tune, most recently it was a song that my son burned onto a mix cd he brought with us on our cmaping trip to coooperstown... the same location of the pic in the banner which he took our first evening there...

cheers!
