Run: 11.3 miles in 1:29:58 min. @ 7:30 a.m.
Weather: Cloudy, 63°F, 94% Humidity, Wind: From SE @ 12 mph; feels like 63°F.
Pace: 7:59 min/mile
Course: An extended, uncharted route around the city: down Main Street, through the U of R campus and Genesee Vally Park, along both the Genesee River and the Erie Canal, past Highland Park and by my stepson's school.
It would appear as though I'm back on track"... back on track to have a difficult time following the training schedule I set for myself only two weeks ago.
It has been since Tuesday that I have stepped out for a run, due mainly to a number of other factors: returning to the classroom after a period of eight weeks acting as cooperating teacher to an undergraduate college student, coaching Track and Field, and going to Track and Field meets in which my own children were competing. Of course, those are all definitely good things to be involved in, they just are not running.
I will not likely catch up with the mileage I had needed to put in this week, but the real shame would be if I didn't at least try to get out and work some pavement, which is what I planned on doing this morning...
Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
