Workmanlike Wrun

Run: 9.7 miles in 1:15:01 min. @ 2:40 p.m.
Weather: Cloudy, 60°F, 80% Humidity, Wind: From W at 14 mph, gusting to 20 mph; feels like 60°F.
Pace: 7:46 min/mile
Course: 9.6 Fool created using USATF Map It!

Once again what was schedule as three consecutive days of mid week running book ended by two days of "Rest," one on Monday and the second on Friday, has morphed into the need to run longer distances over the course of three consecutive weekend days. Making things more interesting is the fact that this afternoon's run represents the first of two 10 mile runs I'll be doing in less than 14 hours. That is, if I want to stay on my plan and meet my target mileage for this week; a mileage count which is mercifully low.

A benefit of waiting until today to get on track was that at least the weather (though still humid) was not the thick swampy air we had been experiencing the last few days. With the warmth, humidity and tiredness of my legs, I would best describe today's 9.7 as "workmanlike," which might just be a polite way to say "a little slow, but effective."

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
