A Return to Rochester Running

Run: 6 miles in :47:00 min. @ 8:30 a.m.

Heart Monitor Data: 730 cals, 88% MHR avg., 95% MHR max.

Weather Report: Mostly Cloudy, 68°F, 76% Humidity, Winds: SW @ 3 mph; feels like 68°F.

After our two day trek from Deadwood, South Dakota home to Rochester, New York, I never imagined that I'd have a difficult time becoming reacclimated to our flatlander landscape. Running this morning reminded me of just how humid my little part of the world is, as I felt as though I sweated enough water wieght during this short jaunt to make up for the relatively dry two weeks which preceded it.

It is good to be back home and I am looking forward to taking what I have learned from the land and my friends back West and applying it to my Eastern running sensibility. It also seems that my time West has momentarily healed my knees as I felt great running and renergized in my training efforts.

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
