Run: 7.6 miles in :62:38 mins. @ 4:15 p.m.

Weather Report: Mostly Cloudy, 33°F, 67% Humidity, Winds: NW @ 11 mph; feels like 26°F.

Guess what? As you can probably gather by the icon in the left hand corner of this post, it's "Mostly Cloudy," again here in River City... and (okay, here comes the obvious metaphor) my "banana" was slightly frozen following this (late) afternoon's run.

We had our first snowfall (of sorts) after midnight this morning, actually it was more like a robust dusting of ice crystals, and the sun never came out for long enough to melt it all away, so this evening I sampled a taste of what it was going to be like (maybe) running this winter... and I liked it, that is, except for the frozen feeling beneath my waste. Tonight, I become keenly acquainted with the reality that two pairs of regular tights just might not be enough to stave off a frozen banana.

Although my legs and lungs "said" I could go longer than the easy 7.6 miles I had clocked during the run, my crotch was screaming "STO-O-O-OP!" After the discomfort became more severly irritated I shift my running plan and made a bee-line for home... where I now sit with the a laptop wamring my... lap.

Embrassez votre été invincible!
