Riding he trainer last night, I was reading some of my books and came across two quotes from very different books that, when considered together, seem to comploiment one another...
First, from Taming the Tiger by Thich Nhat Hanh, (p. 195): Maybe we have not had enough time to take care of the child within us.Second, from Charlotte's Web by E.B. White and pictures by Garth Williams, (p.110):
(Mrs. Arable)...I don't understand it, and I don't like what I can't understand.True.
"None of us do," aid Dr. Dorian sighing.
...
(Mrs. Arable)"Dr. Dorian, do you believe animals can talk?"
"I never heard one say anything," he replied. "But, that proves nothing...It is quite possible that I didn't catch the remark because I was not paying attention. Children pay better attention than grownups... perhaps if people talked less , animals would talk more. People are incessant talkers--I can give you my word on that."
