Run: 6.3 miles in :50:42 @ 5:20 p.m.

Weather Report: Cloudy, 25°F, 53% Humidity, Winds: From E @ 8 mph; feels like 12°F.

Pace--Approx. :08:00 per mile

Maybe it was racing a 10k in snowshoes yesterday, or the twenty-four plus hours since that I've rested my legs. For whatever reason, I felt very light on my feet this evening, moving quickly down the ice covered streets. I had to be especially careful with my foot strikes, as I was wearing my "regular" running shoes, rather than my poor weather trail runners, due to the fact that I had not bought the mole skin foam I need for my Morton's toe. My "regulars" are perfectly worn and, thanks to the insert molded to the bottom of the sole, feel wonderful all on their own.

Originally, I had planned to use today as an off day for training, but while sitting on the couch, seriously considering breaking open a brand spanking new bag of Doritos (see bizarre pic of Japanese(?)market packaging to the right), I opted to go for a run. Of course, now that I'm home, the siren's call of the black-peppery goodness of those triangular beauties is mighty hard to resist... mmmmm...

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.
