The Training Week That Was... 1/12-27

As previously chronicled, this was a fairly unproductive training week, which might best be be "psycholigically" chalked up to tapering for my "big" race (translation: "l-o-o-o-ng") in a few weeks. Here's a review of what went down:
Legend: R = Running, R(T) = Running on Treadmill, SB = Stationary Bicycling, and I've also noted increases (+x) or decreases (-x) from the previous week)

Sunday: R 6.3 miles
Monday: SB 35 min
Tuesday: SB 30 min.
Wednesday: Off Day
Thursday: SB 30 min.
Friday: R 3.5 mi.
Saturday: R 6.4 mi.
TOTALS--R 16.2 miles (-13.75 miles), SB: 85 min. (+15 min.)
The week ended on a high note with my having finished The Hearne-ish 10k in a respectable 47-ish minutes (see pic to right, above). The fun will continue tomorrow when I attempt to traverse the ice, snow and slush while running the 4-mile event at the Lake Effect Snowshoe Festival. The hits keep on coming with a 6-hour Snowshoe Relay. One week later, and two weeks from tomorrow, Jack (my son) and I will be in Dublin, Ohio to run the Last Chance for Boston marathon.

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.

I am a HUGE admirer of Jim Nollman and receive his newsletter. Mahalo for dropping a comment. I've seen your blog before on BE too and thought to myself: Wow! This guy's in such amazing shape!

thanks for coming by... it is amazing how small a world it is (as illustated by the number of people familiar with nollman, it is a VERY small number at least up here in river city)...

take care!
