The Training Week That Was... 1/14-1/20

A much more productive week, mileage-wise, as my total increased over 10 miles due to two nine mile runs and a 10k on Saturday, which was run in snowshoes. Here's the big piture:
Legend: R = Running, R(T) = Running on Treadmill, SB = Stationary Bicycling, and I've also noted increases (+x) or decreases (-x) from the previous week)

Sunday: R 9.75 miles
Monday: R 5 miles
Tuesday: SB 25 min.
Wednesday: SB 20 min.
Thursday: R 9 miles
Friday: SB 25 min.
Saturday: R 6.2 mi. (Snowshoe)
TOTALS--R 29.95 18.3 miles (+11.65 miles), SB: 70 min. (-10 min.)
The weather continues to be cold and wintry (Yeah!) so the hardcore element running (with maybe some snowshoeing mixed in, too) are in my personal training forecast for the upcoming week.

This upcoming Saturday, January 27, I am registered to run in the fourth GRTC Freezeroo Series race, The Hearne-ish 10k. The following morning, Sunday, January 28, I am hoping to compete in the 4 mile event at the Lake Effect Snowshoe Festival. Whew--looks like a busy week ahead! Hopefully, both races will be made even more special as my kids will be home and may be able to attend...

On the horizon remains the February 11 Last Chance for Boston marathon, which I will be attending in Dublin, Ohio with my son. Can you say, "Roadie?"

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.
