No running again today, but tomorrow I give it shot... fortunately the cat and dog never fail to entertain me (and you?)...A little background for the uninitiated, a dog's crate, or kennel, is the shelter that is their home within your home. A beloved member of my family, Gracie is my family's three year-old English Springer Spaniel, who resides with us in our River City, upstate New York, home. Mei-Mei is our family's calico-ish cat and Gracie's best bud! While Mei-Mei's place in our family pre-dates Gracie's by about four years, as soon as Gracie moved in, Mei-Mei became something of a recluse choosing to lurk in the shadows and move through the house without Gracie noticing. When Gracie and I venture into the basement (Mei-Mei's primary haunt), Gracie will come bounding down the stairs to find Mei-Mei.
Occasionally, though, Mei-Mei shows that she can assert herself, too!
Here, Gracie ntoices that her normal protion of kibble has been delightfully garnished with peas!

Carefully picking through the kibble, or just dropping it on the floor, Gracie finds the peas and chows down...

Ahhh, but as Mei-Mei has observed, after eating, Gracie likes to go out for a run in the yard... thus leaving her food and water unguarded... and ripe for the slurping!

For Mei-Mei, nothing satisfying like tricking that silly dog and drinking her water... uh-oh, Mei-Mei's gotta go... some one's coming in from outdoors!

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
