It's always something. Whether my ankles hurt or my knees ache, there is always something to be concerned about...of course I say "concerned" and you (often correctly) say "whine" or "complain" about. This morning it's my back. Yesterday morning I went out to clear the nine plus inches of snow from our driveway and my wife said "Be careful, the snow is heavy." Looking out the window, I told her nonchalantly, "Naw, it looks pretty fluffy, I'm not worried..." Of course, you can see where this is going... my wife is very rarely wrong...
Today, my lower back is killing me. making it difficult to sit or, sometimes even walk, but I have it in my head that if I go for a run this early Sunday morning, it will "lubricate" my spine and soothe the pulled "muscle" leaving me better for having tried to do something.
This fantasy is further fueled by the fact that I was dreaming of running when I woke up this morning... heck, I was dreaming of running the Halloween 5k course which was located in my childhood neighborhood. It felt so real except for when the dog laid on my legs... that was my dog, now, and me being thrown back into reality...
While it is "always something," I am going to do my best to make that "something" always as productive as possible, so, here goes...!
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
