UGH! I managed to drag myself out for a run this afternoon--it's hard to resist 63°F--but, gosh, did I feel heavy! I really tried to focus on my form and pace, attempting to pick up the pace to about an eight minute mile, and when I sensed myself waning, I tried to remember what my highschool cross-country coach had told me: work hard on the inclines and rest on the downhills. Admittedly, there were no mountains on the course a ran through River City, but there was a definite up-and-down vibe to the elevation, so I "rolled" with it.
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!

Sometimes those kinds of runs are the best, but I dont realize it until the next day.
thanks for your comments, they are greatly appreciated!
amen, to that moment of realization... i'm trying to focus my mental energy internally during these runs so as to draw something positive from them more immediately.
