Run: 4 miles in :32:28 min. @ 7:40 a.m.

Weather Report: Fair, 42°F, 85% Humidity, Winds: SW @ 9 mph; feels like 39°F.

Pace: :08:08 per mile

Last evening, after working to prepare our vegetable garden bed with my wife, I fell asleep very early... I say 8:30-ish and my wife informs me it was more like 8:00 p.m. I woke up equally early this morning and stayed in bed although I had thoughts about things I had not accomplished running through my mind.

When I woke up for good at 7:00 a.m. I had only thoughts about running. My daughter was running in a district-wide track and field meet today. My son would be stealing bases (hopefully) at a little league game this afternoon. My wife and I would be running this evening as part of her training plan. My stepson would be "running" his Boy Scout patrol today at the troop's annual father-son camp out.

And I really wanted to go for a short run this morning prior to everything else. Oh, and I would be running a 10k race tomorrow for the first time since March.

These are great times for me!

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
