Looking Toward a Turkey Day Tradition

Run: 1.6 miles in :19:47 min. @ 5:00 p.m.

Weather: Cloudy, 48°F, 68% Humidity, Winds: N @ 6 mph; feels like 45°F.
Pace: 12:22 min/mi
Course: A loop through our neighborhood, the Park Avenue area.

After taking a short (unscheduled) nap after work this afternoon, Anne and I went for a short run around the neighborhood. It was just what the doctor, and my new training schedule ordered, a two(-ish) mile run.

Though I suspect strongly that I am not fully recovered from my race just over a week ago, I have registered for one of the many local "turkey trots", the 4.4 mile 35th Annual Webster Turkey Trot. (I also ran in the 34th annual edition last year, for the first time--see the pic to the left!) I am looking at this as an opportunity to spend the morning with nearly 1,000 (yes, almost 1,000 folks have registered for both races!)

So, while I may have missed out on the super-special-neato NIKE tech shirt, by dragging my feet to register on-line, I'll gladly sport my cotton tee Thursday morning and take to the road before stuffing my face...

Embrassez votre été invincible!
