Run: 6.2 miles in :48:52 min. @ 4:30 p.m.

Weather: Partly Sunny & Windy, 24°F, 59% Humidity, Wind: From WSW @ 19 mph, gusting to 30 mph; feels like 10°F.
Course: A quick jaunt through the streets and avenues in my neighborhood... up and down up and down and finally home.
Pace: 7:53 min./per mile

After three days "off" I returned to my training. "Motivation" is sometimes born of odd circumstances...

Following a quick change into my "running clothes," I slipped outside onto the front porch and shut the door closed behind me... locked(!), actually, and me without my keys. Fortunately, my kids were coming home from their mother's after school, eventually, and to stay warm I would need to extend my run beyond the planned twenty minutes to about forty-five. This would allow me to keep moving (and keep from freezing on my porch) while I waited for the kids (with their key to the house) to arrive.

My jaunt went well and I'm looking forward to, minimally, participating in the half-marathon snowshoe run Sunday, a race which looks destined to end up being a trail run... YIPPEE!

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
