Accomplished: "Mountain" Series of meditative yoga poses
Today was my first "official" day following FIRST Marathon Training Program and the first order of business was not running, but cross-training (which can itself be little bit of a nebulous term). For my part I began the day with a series of meditative yoga poses just after breakfast in an effort to better prepare to take on the day. As fate would have it, the weather was remarkably warm today and though it was tempting, I successfully held back the urge to run which was especially important given my 14+ miles yesterday morning.
In the evening, my son and I went to my school's girl's sectional basketball game at the Blue Cross Arena. Two of my students were playing in the varsity Class AA Championship game, so if cheering and walking from the parking lot count as "cross-training," I have it covered...
Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
