Not to get all Zen on you, but, is twenty miles still twenty miles when its not twenty miles?
Week 11, Key Run 3 was supposed to be a 20 mile run, though my having registered for yesterday's 5-mile "race" put a little crimp in my plan. Though five is a far cry from twenty, I did my best to tack on a few miles. This left me owing about nine miles, which I had planned to put in today to meet the spirit of my weekly mileage total, if not the actual purpose. Of course, twenty miles may sort of be twenty miles, but when there is a predicated pace and cumulative exertion, when I cut-up that mileage in two, it likely somehow diminished the training "value" of the mileage.
Riddles aside, I went for a run...
