A Farewell to Indian Summer Run

Run: 7.4 miles in :59:45 min. @ 8:15 a.m.
Weather: Cloudy, 50°F, 90% Humidity, Wind: From SSW at 4 mph; feels like 44°F.
Pace: 8:04 min/mi
Course:Around my neighborhood.

What a difference twelve hours can make! When I went running last evening, it was 60°F, and now, as I set out for another short (s-l-o-w) jaunt, the temperature is down to just 49°F. As I mentioned in my previous post, it would appear that our brief Indian Summer is coming to a crashing to a close with cooler temperatures and the possibility of precipiation forecast for tomorrow.

While some may bemoan the passing of the warm weather, truth is, I welcome it.

As someone with achy knees who dislikes sweating too profusely, the cold weather is a welcome respite from both of these, so I generally look forward to cold, snowy runs. I'll likely be waiting six-to-ten weeks for snow, but the cold can't come to soon for me and my knees.

Adios, Indian Summer!
