First Brief Flurry

Run: 6.5 miles in :49:29 min. @ 8:00 a.m.
Weather: Rain and Snow, 36°F, 87% Humidity, Wind: From W at 13 mph; feels like 27°F.
Pace: 7:37 min/mi
Course: A short jaunt around my larger community.

I stood and watched by the window
The noiseless work of the sky,
And the sudden flurries of snow-birds,
Like brown leaves whirling by.
from "The First Snowfall" by James Russell Lowell
Waking up this morning I had very much a "maybe I will, maybe I won't" attitude toward the potential for a morning run. Standing at the kitchen window, sipping at my first cup of coffee for the day and watching for a sign of bird activity in the backyard, I noticed the first burst of snow flurries this Fall.

It was then I decided that I wanted to be a part of that...
