I thought I was dreaming that someone was coughing or choking but it wasn't a dream. It was only a few moments later, through half-closed eyes, that I realized it was my wife who had awoken coughing at about 3:15 a.m. With nothing to lose I then did the unusual (for me) and pulled myself from bed (now unable to sleep and not the least bit angry for it), made some coughy (it is early after all!) coffee, checked the weather and went for a run.

How did my decision to leap into action in the early morning hours work out? Given a lite sprinkle midway through, and very warm temperatures (52°F!), it definitely turned out being the right choice...
