How did I feel? Great!
The thought this morning when I woke up early to write rather than to run was that I would take the opportunity to run later in the afternoon. This was for two reasons: first, it would increase the recovery time between my back-to-back runs (yesterday morning at 7:00 a.m.-ish and today at 6:00 p.m.-ish), and secondly, I would be able to wear the new sunglasses I purchased at Medved yesterday afternoon. I had been without a pair for a while (not that I had been training anyway) and dislike running in the sunlight except when I have some eye protection from the sun--which is not to say I haven't done so before (a lot actually), but it's just an issue of comfort.
Based on the weather right now, it would seem that I'm batting .500, which in baseball terms is off the charts great, but I definitely don't need to be concerned about the sun... it has fortunately been pouring out most of the afternoon, so I'm dodging puddles and road spray rather than sunbeams during my short run this evening.
Be here now!
