2013 Oneonta Early Bird X-C Invitational

Apologies, but this post will be short on commentary and long on pictures, which hopefully "say it all."

Anne and I traveled to beautiful Oneonta, New York, for my son's second college race of the season, this one on his team's home course at Fortin Park. It tuned out to be both a tremendous day for running and for spectating. Given the scenery I am looking very forward to returning for a few races later in the season when the leaves will surely be changing.

Both Oneonta State's Men's and Women's teams ran very well, winning their respective team events. My son, Jack, ran well in his first competitive 6k, finishing 19th overall, tenth on his team and fifth among freshman participants! As a home meet of sorts for the Oneonta program, we also had the great opportunity to have a fantastic tail gate afterwards. Now onto some pictures:
