Roadie: Mendon Ponds Park

The leaves are just starting to turn at Mendon Ponds Park. (9/29/13)
My wife and I took a short hike at Mendon Ponds Park this morning. It was a beautiful fall day, and while we had hoped to catch more birds at play, we did come across some other creatures that were kind enough to pose (sort of) for us.

Grasshopper. (9/29/13)
Garter snake 1. (9/29/13)
Garter snake 2. (9/29/13)
A trail sign in need of an Eagle Scout candidate. (9/29/13)
Black-capped Chickadee. (9/29/13)
Two Black-capped chickadees. (9/29/13)
Tufted Titmouse. (9/29/13)
The sign said "Look Up Point" and that's what we did. (9/29/13)
Garter snake 3!? (9/29/13)
Another reminder of the autumnal hues on the horizon. (9/29/13)

While enjoy being west and south, though not as far south as your are :), there is nothing like a change of seasons. Thanks for commenting and take care!
