Oneonta Men Win SUNYAC Team Title!

2014 SUNYAC Champions! (5/3/14)
Yesterday and today I spent time at SUNY Geneseo taking in the SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet. Having had the good fortune to see the both Oneonta's men's and women's teams compete together since cross-country season last fall through the Cornell Biog Red Invite two weekends ago, it was wonderful to see so much hard work and effort result in some excellent performances. Best of all, as the farther of a freshman on the men's team who qualified to compete, was being able to see the Oneonta Men come away with a hard fought overall team championship title.

Something I don't see very often: the javelin throw. (5/3/14)

Oneonta Freshman--my son Jack is to the right. (5/3/14)
While some of the competitive men and women student-athletes will continue on for a few more weeks, this was the final meet of my son's freshman year. Though things did not always go exactly as he had hoped, given the great coaching and good character of those involved, I can confidently suggest that he and his teammates have much to look forward to in the season's ahead.

Full meet results are available here.
