OXC Men at SUNYACs

Wet and ready at the line. (11/01/14)
Saving the "real" cross-country weather for today's SUNYACs, the Man Upstairs laid it on thick in Brockport, New York. In the first of what would be two cross-country championship races I would be attending today, I drove out to my alma matre, SUNY College at Brockport, to catch SUNY Oneonta's men's squad kick-off their post season. For the story of how the team faired, check out the college's race summary here. I always enjoy watching the team run and was once again happy to spend some time in the inclement weather shooting some pictures.

The gun starts the race. (11/01/14)
Roughly 39° and rainy (though the temp must have dropped briefly as snowflakes did make a short appearance), the course appeared really well maintained. Other than the tell-tale mud splatter and occasional dirty uniform, the trails must have been, manageable as I heard o no pile-ups, at least during the men's race. As was said many times by spectators at the meet "the weather has been awesome this season so one day isn't so bad." Of course, we weren't running in it, though the weather did make far some unique (especially this season) imagery.

And they're off! (11/01/14)
