Run: 5.6 miles in :43:51 min. @ 8:45 a.m.

Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 63°F, 89% Humidity, Winds: N @ 1 mph; feels like 63°F.

Pace: 7:50 min./per mile avg.

Very focused this morning as I try to maximize the time I have left before leaving in a few hours to camp this evening and visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, tomorrow. Most of the packing is completed and the “equipment” is spread out in my dining room awaiting transfer to the “SuperCar.” Just a few final touches left: ice for the cooler, a new electric lamp, picking up my traveling partner (son) at his mothers.

I started the morning (following my two cups o’ joe, natch!) with a twenty minute series of posts with my pal, Rodney Yee, care of Yoga Journal’s Yoga for Meditation. Then it was time to hit the roads…

What a difference twelve hours can make! I felt much better this morning, a feeling I can partially attribute to first, having stretched, and secondly, not being on a track, but rather, being capable of taking a somewhat circuitous route around the community. While the familiar parts of courses that I frequent do make it something of a track, it is a 4-6 mile “loop,” rather than a 400m one.

This was a great way to go into my camping trip… now to finish (again!) getting my stuff together, pick up the boy, and be on our way!

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
