”Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.”~Langston Hughes
For whatever reason, I have had a hard time sleeping over the past two weeks. It’s not that I have a problem going to sleep each evening at about 10:00 p.m., but that I find myself waking up at anywhere from 3:00 t0 5:00 a.m. What generally happens is that I’ll be briefly stirred by the dog moving or my leg itching, look at the clock, then have a difficult time relaxing enough to go back to slumber land.

Fortunately, I suppose, there is always something to do, although I am limited to doing things that can be done in relative silence as I don’t want to wake anyone else. This morning, I decide, despite the inclement weather to get my shortest run of the week out of the way.

While the rain did indeed lull me, as Langston suggested in his quote it has the power to do... it lulled me not to sleep, but to action...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
