Following up on an earlier post, later that day my wife and I returned to the Erie Canal where I had left my cotton tee, with the intention of retrieving it. Alas, we were too late as it had already been taken.
Ironically, the t-shirt (which I had received at an Earth Day-themed run the previous year) had been picked up by volunteers cleaning up the canal pathway as part of our community's "clean sweep" initiative.
Hopefully the tee, a somewhat "ugly" (yet unique green color, especially by comparison with my closet full of greys and whites), was picked up and donated somewhere rather than ending up in the pile above... what was left behind at the site, presumably for pick-up by the refuse department. We sacnned the seven foot long pile of canal-side garabage and grass clipping, but could not readily visually "locate" the tee...
Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
