Bicycling: 22 miles To & From Work

To School: 11 miles in :43:16 min. @ 5:50 a.m.
Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 82°F, 58% Humidity, Wind: SW @ 3 mph; feels like 83°F.
Course: Bike 2 Work Day Route 1 made using USATF Map It!

In the "grand scheme of nothing," today would be a running day, one on which I would put in about six-to-eight miles at a moderate pace. Though I am registered for a race this weekend, rather than running I am opting instead to "cross-train" in the form of bicycling.

Following up on yesterday's reflections on transportation, it turned out to be unnecessary for me to first drive my son out to his mother's in the car, prior to bicycling myself to work, as he ended up spending the night there after school yesterday.

Taking it to the streets once again, I woke up (too) early and pedalled myself to school. The eleven mile trek through the city and into the 'burbs is becoming easier and easier the more frequently I make the trek (I hope I haven't jinxed myself for the return trip!).

Back Home: 11 miles in :57:00 min. @ 3:00 p.m.
Weather: Fair, 59°F, 32% Humidity, Wind: NNE @ 8 mph; feels like 59°F.

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
