Waking up too early, I turn on the porch light to call the cat in. She has been out since last evening, playing (I assume) amidst the rain and dense birdsong which has, in part, jostled me awake from a light sleep. I lace up my shoes and pass the cat in the doorway, she on her way in for some rest, I heading out into the drizzle for a run.
