Course: Canterbury Road to Monroe Avenue until a left briefly onto Winton Road followed quickly by a right onto Chelmsford Road, which turns into Hillside Avenue, then a left on Highland Avenue to Culver Road and onto on home....
A fairly short schedule run of only five miles, the first of as many runs this week with a cumulative reduced mileage from the previous two. The following week promises to see my mileage go up again (a long of 22 miles to look forward to), but I am looking forward to taking advantage of this weeks more moderate distance as a chance to give my legs a little rest from the pounding...
Despite the hard "data" of schedules and miles and minutes its hard not to feel poetic moving through the humid night, the mingled scents of wet bark, wisteria and lilac hanging in the air...
