Junior at X-C County Championships

... and there off! I was a little surprised how many teams had a number of student athletes competing at the JV level.

After last week's muddy expedition to rural New York, it was nice to stay closer (though colder) to home for his second-to-last race of the year, the County Championships. The races are divided into Modified, Junior Varsity Varsity B, and Varsity. Though his efforts this year probably should have resulted in his running for the Varsity squad, I was glad to see him entered into the JV race.

Coming down the finish and into the chute for a ribbon and a rest.

Ultimately my son placed sixteenth overall... a wonderful accomplishment in this, his first year of running high school cross-country.

Breathe in, breathe out… YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
