Probably too hot to run today, but I went anyway. I did, however, cut my run a little short (I had intended to go 7.5 or so), and walked the remaining 1.75 miles home from Highland Park, roughly where I stopped. I doubled up on water bottles and continue to be very grateful that my Amphibod and I have been getting along well... only one "failure-to-clip" incident today!
The results of my orthopedist's visit yesterday was as I suspected... there is (fortunately) no ligament or cartelidge damage visible on either the MRI or x-rays. The doctor suggested a specific brand of glucosamine supplement and that I continue to take ibuprofin before and after runs. He also recommended that I continue to try and find a brace or neoprene sleeve that is comfortable and effective in giving me some support in my knees while running. I have had some recent success with the neoprene sleeve on my left knee and may give it a shot wearing one on my right, as well.Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
