Re-discovering Mr. Olbermann

While waiting for my wife to arrive home from work, so that we, and my son, might walk to the local elementary school to vote in today's Democratic Primary, I was surprised to see that Anne had sent me an e-mail with a link to YouTube. As I've mentioned before, we don't have cable or satellite television in our home, so we do miss out on a few television shows (of the ten ba-jillion which are garbage), that we might be inclined to watch. Based on our sporadic viewing of news shows, mostly during vacation stops in a variety of motels, one such show we likely would frequent is the MSNBC primetime program, Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

Like most people, okay, men, in their mid-thirties, I first "met" Keith during my college days when he sported a moustache and hosted one of the 3,000 ESPN Sportscenter shows. Back in the day, he distinguished himself as a personality with a sort of smarmy charm and dry wit.

Now, he is a much more polished, witty politica pundit whom, in my opinion, more often then not, says what I wish I could, but with much mre intelligence. Keith, like me I suppose, has sort of grown up. One wishes more folks would grow up and see things in the same light as Keith, or I.

Case in point, his special 9/11 commentary, presented above, in its entirity. While it is long at almost 9 minutes in length, it is extremely powerful and relevant.

It's good to meet up with you again, Keith.

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
