What, Me Run?

It's been about three days since I last went running, and other than going with Anne and jogging with her, I have been pretty inactive. That's not to say that we are not "running," but it is definately not the seven miles and a seven minute pace of which I've become accustomed... the three days feels like three weeks.

My groin is still sore after last Sunday's 5k, so my plan is to continue resting until, I don't know, maybe Saturday? In these parts, this coming Sunday is the Rochester Marathon, a race I competed in last year as my first marathon and one which I did not register for this year due to my anticiapted participation in the ING New York City Marathon. Having withdrawn my registration for New York, and my not racing this weekend, I am not due to run competitively again for two weeks or so.

Good, I guess...

I'm using this "time" to get well and gear up psychologically for the Fall and Winter runs which will be here soon enough, and keeping in the swing of things by running with Anne. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm already feeling that kind of melancholy Fall vibe in my bones and am trying snap out of it...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
