Run: 9.3 miles in :74:09 mins. @ 10:30 a.m.

Weather Report: Cloudy, 54°F, 51% Humidity, Winds: SSW @ 9 mph; feels like 54°F.

Yes, it's "Cloudy" out, but warm and "Cloudy"... so it's all good! It felt odd wearing only running shorts and a two shot sleeved t-shirts just days after badly freezing my banana.

To follow up on my cold weather preparations, Anne, Jack and I went to MedVed Running & Walking Outfitters today in search of some "warmer" tights. Although the weather today is downright spring-like, by Thursday it may very well be snowing out. Buying tights is a unique experience for me, the recreational runner who once told another runner during his first race a year-and-a-half ago, that he would never wear tights especially in public. There are many considerations and it is mostly an issue of personal choice.

Personally, I prefer a less bluking tight that is form fitting, especially when I'm wearing both knee braces during training runs. The current rage seems to be looser fitting running "pants." Fortunately, MedVed carries a wide variety of options and after trying on a few brands and designs, I settled on the NIKE Sphere Pro Thermal Tight. This particular tight is very form fitting from the mid-thigh to the ankle but has an additional layer of insulation from the mid-thigh... SWEET!

So it would appear that following a sort-of-sun-shiny run this morning, I'm prepared, following an afternoon trip to the store, to dodge snowflakes next weekend!

Embrassez votre été invincible!
