Sunday: R 9.6 milesWOW! I think this is my highest accumulated mileage ever, except maybe on weeks that I've run a marathon. I feel as though I had a very productive week I'm definitely sensing a transition in my training regimen. This change is best illustrated in the way I am tracking my daily training: as a result of my heart monitor's "death" teh week prior, I have been focusing less on pace and more on time (thanks to me $9.99 Target wristwatch). The result is increased time (which in my training terms means increased miles) and a slightly decreased pace.
Monday: SB 30 min.
Tuesday: R 7.25 miles
Wednesday: R 12 miles
Thursday: Off Day
Friday: R 7.7 miles
Saturday: R 4 miles
TOTALS--R 40.55 miles (+17.95 miles), SB: 30 min. (-30 min.)
I am registered for two runs this holiday week, the first ,tomorrow is a 5 miler and then a second, on Thanksgiving Day, is the 4.4 mile Webster Turkey Trot. Both are new-to-me runs, which I need now to keep myself "fresh." I have greatly enjoyed registering for new races the last month or so, following a summer season of mostly second time runs.
