I've been holding onto these two pics in my computer queue for a few days now, waiting for the right time to post them... and here it is! About two months ago following a long run, I developed a blood blister under the big toe nail of my right foot. Initially there was no actual pain involved that impacted my running, just a slight discomfort created by the pressure of the blister against the nail, as illustrated in the "Before" image above to the left.
Eventually though, I noticed... err... felt that the nail was tearing away from the skin at the lower left side, and that another nail had begun to grow beneath it. Again, no pain, just discomfort and, to be honest, it just creeped me out a little. Because half of the original nail, under which the blister had originally formed, had "died," I decided I would try to remove the dead part, so that the new nail could grow... and clip, I did (as seen in the "After" image above to the right.
Now I just need for the rest of the old to go out so the new can grow in full... oh, my, New Year's metaphors!
Embrassez votre été invincible!
