For the past few days the local weather folks have belaboring the fact that we would once again not be having a "white Christmas," a holiday reality which was much more common years ago. Consequently, though, these same prognosticators have been hinting at a possible "snow event" in the hours following Christmas. Waking up this morning, I was greeted not by snow or blowing winds, but by the more (recently) common new Upstate winter mix: cool, wet, drizzle.

With that analysis, I downed two quick cups o' joe, checked my e-mail and laced 'em up for a short morning run... before realizing I had misplaced my watch, presumably having left it at my in-laws home last night. When this does occur I use a very complex system of timing myself and calculating distance: I write down the time I leave based on what the oven says, and upon my return, again, write down the time. You see, I like to keep precise records...

Embrassez votre été invincible!
