Weather Report: Cloudy, 38°F, 69% Humidity, Winds: WSW @ 5 mph; feels like 35°F.
Although today is the Winter Solstice, the weather in River City is still very late Fall. The ongoing odd weather continues to contribute to achy knees (at least I hope that's the cause), I find myself lumbering down the evening streets much more like an injured Sasquatch (if it were really cold, I'd go with the "yeti" analogy), than a gazelle...With the New Year just around the bend, and with it the opportunity to reflect on the past year, as well as look to the future, I find myself needing to reflect deeply on my future training... I'm not sure I can keep going like this if it means such discomfort. I really need the positive love and vibe I get from running, especially running well. I'm not sure I can get the same charge if I am unable to run my best... but if my best means knee replacement, it may not be worth it.
Embrassez votre été invincible!
