Cycling (Trainer): 30 min. @ 7:00 p.m.

Things have not been going so well with my children and it has me a little down (well, a lot...) and so I've relied on my running, training, walking, moving has been the saving grace... so this evening I rode the trainer and read some books. As I've mentioned before, I'm currently reading approximately four different books (not including comic bo... er... graphic novels), so guess what? I picked up a book to read more of today after not having paged through in a few months.

Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh is described by Barnes & Noble as a "lucid, meditative prose... (which) explores the crossroads of compassion and holiness at which the two traditions of Christianity and Buddhism meet, and reawakens readers' understanding of these disciplines." I continue to find the book to be one that is an incredibly relaxing read. The short easily digestible chapters and sub-sections are filled with stories (some unfamiliar, some very esoteric) that once read, and internalized via re-reading ring, and feel, true.
The best way to take care of the future is to take care of the present moment... unless we channel our energies toward being aware of what is going on in the present moment, we might not discover the peace and happiness that are available right now.
Right now!

Adio, wli nanawalmezi.
