For the first few days immediately following my having run a marathon (or near-marathon, in this case), while my legs may ache, I generally rebound quickly. I take four or five days off from running, before slowly moving into cycling and then working in some short slow distances. Nearly three days from having pulled a "gung-lee" in Dublin, Ohio, on Sunday, both my ankles are still unusually achy. My left ankle (pictured above) is in a terrific amount of pain, especially when I put weight on it, while walking. Going up and down stairs is definitely a necessary (painful) evil...
In school today, as I was hobbling around the room, I ruminated that I may have hurt my left Achilles tendon. One of my bright, shining stars (translation: students) pointed out that "that's the injury that killed Brad Pitt in that movie... uh... Troy.""Great," I lamented, feigning disgust, "Now, not only do I have to suffer with looking like Brad Pitt, I have the same injury!"

hello papa!
Oh, the pain must be bad! Your toes look weird, hahaha......
I realise that you do have a slight resemblance to Brad Pitt though.
Hey,
Happy Valentine's Day!
eastcoast and miztris, thanks for your comments!
it's funny that you mention my oddly shaped toes--like most people, who generally assume their own personal deformities are "normal" and everyone else is odd, although i've been told i had weird feed, i always thought everyone else is different... if this "running thing" doesn't pick up, maybe i can start foot fetishist hobby blog!
