Run: 4.0 miles in :32:23 min. @ 7:00 p.m.

Weather Report: Cloudy, 32°F, 64% Humidity, Winds: From NE @ 12 mph; feels like 23°F.

Pace--:08:06 min. per mile

Despite a mild cough and runny nose, I loaded up on Ibuprofen and went for a short run this evening over familiar "stomping grounds." Utilizing the route I cobbled together from side streets and main thoroughfares (going by the Memorial Art Gallery, pictured to the right) when I first began "jogging" more seriously almost three years ago, I endeavored once again to get back on the horse... wow, did it feel great!

About half the distance I previously ran each evening (or so), at roughly the same pace, I felt like I was flying again, albeit with a slightly fettered wing. Having at least been able to take the mild discomfort in a satisfactory fashion for over 3 miles, I feel as if it might be possible for me to at least register for a 5k in the near future... but not so fast... I am beginning to think that the news I might receive, or the advice which might be offered, at next week's orthopedist's appointment, might not be so terminal as I was once feared, or felt.

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
