"Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels."~Author UnknownCycling (Stationary): 22 min. @ 4:30 a.m.
After having the previous ten days off of work due to our school's "Spring Break" today I (and all schools in the area) will be returning to the grind. Personally, I am excited to get back to the business of school, armed with what I believe are some (pretty) engaging lessons to deliver in the next 8-10 weeks.
Of course, today is also Monday, so its time for another weigh-in.
This morning at 5:00 a.m., I "weighed in" on my bathroom scale at somewhat discouraging 192.5 lbs., which represents an increase from last Wednesday of a half pound.
Given my height, 6'1", and updated weight, my current calculated Body Mass Index (BMI), a measure of body fat, is 25.4, up ever so slightly from 25.3 last week. I don't really feel it, but apparently this result places me (again)just barely in the "Overweight" category.
Today is Patriot's Day, at least in Boston, which means the 111th Boston Marathon will be held despite the terrible weather which is being predicted. Boston is one of those mythical races that I may never (ever) qualify for, but I do find it inspirational to follow the stories of those who do earn the opportunity to participate. Without cable, I will likely follow the results on-line during work, keeping my eyes and ears open for any particularly inspiring stories; I'm sure there will be many.
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
