Run: 5.2 miles in :42:41 @ 4:00 p.m.

Weather Report: Cloudy w/Light Snow Shower, 35°F, 61% Humidity, Winds: From WNW @ 10 mph; feels like 28°F.

This morning at 5:00 a.m., I "weighed in" on my bathroom scale at 192 lbs., hindered, I'm sure, by the feast of which I partook of yesterday for Easter. While I was disciplined in the overall amounts and sizes of servings, it is difficult to ignore the total amount of food I ingested... mmmm, ham, salad, asparagus and pies... oooh, the pies! I am happy to share that I did NOT eat much candy, although there is a lot laying around the house this morning, on the "day after."

In an effort to better manage my weight (okay--to shame myself into being more disciplined), I will be weighing myself each Monday at 5:00 a.m., beginning 4/02/07.

Today, August 9, I weighed in at: 192 lbs., (-4 lbs.) Given my height, 6'1", and updated weight, my current calculated Body Mass Index (BMI), a measure of body fat, is 25.3, down from 25.9 last week, but still--again, just barely--placing me in the "Overweight" category.

What I had thought would be an early morning run turned into a late afternoon one, and as I padded down the last street home, my knees slightly aching, I was reminded that I need to be diligent in maintaining (as close as I can, anyway) an "every-other-day" training rotation. I have quite a bit of school related reading to do this week, so tomorrow I return to the stationary bicycle to double dip on my time...

Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
