Today is the first day of Spring Break, the ten day vacation from school that most students in our area experience just before the final 10 weeks of the academic school year. It also happens to be both the opening day for our local Triple-A baseball team, the Rochester Red Wings (parent club, the Minnesota Twins), and while the local news is reporting that it "feels like 11°F(!)" outside this morning, I'm here to tell you it feels like mid-January... and to think I (and 8,000 ticket holders, apparently) was really looking forward to getting to my first Opening Day since I stopped working for the team... BRRRRRRR!Cycling (Trainer): 30 mins. @ 6:40 a.m.
I woke up this morning saying to myself: "I have a lot to do around the house to get ready for Easter on Sunday, but, what the heck, I'll go for a short run..." After letting the dog out for her morning romp, as soon as the FREEZING, COLD wind smacked my legs, that idea went out the window... and I went down to the basement to take a spin on the stationary bicycle. It has been nearly three weeks since I had ridden the bike, but I found myself easily slipping into the focused state necessary for me to stay on the stationary for more than 15 minutes. This was most likely due to the amount of frustrated-energy I could access and focus, given the challenging last day of school yesterday, the last day of classes before the start of Break.
Breathe in, breathe out... YOU AND I ARE ALIVE!
